I hate Joomla so much that I just want to quit

I hate Joomla that I just want to quitHow many times during your life you have heard somebody else to say that he is so over something that he just want to quit and throw the towel to the floor? I mean it does not really matter what it is because what I am referring in here is the feeling that the person is experiencing.

I don't know about you but as a person teaching a software like Joomla, I hear and see this all the time around the web and sometimes in my inbox.

People just want to quit on Joomla because according to them it is too hard. But let me give you my thoughts on this matter.

I have been working with Joomla for a while now and during all the process I have learned too many things, but something that I can definitely say is that Joomla is easy and hard at the same time.

In my own words, I see Joomla as following.

As one time I said, Joomla is like learning to ride a bicycle. If you want to learn how to ride a bicycle the whole process can be same for anyone. However some will need training wheels, others will need assisted two-wheeling, and other ones will need un-assisted two wheeling.

Either way, learning how to ride a bike can be accomplished by anyone. It is just a question of practice.

Believe me my friends Joomla is the same, anyone has the ability to learn how to build websites with this CMS tool, but something that you need to keep in mind is that the higher you aim with Joomla the harder it can become.

The higher you to aim with Joomla the harder it will become. Do you know what I mean?

What do I mean with that?

Well let's go back to the bicycle example. What about those who want to learn how to ride a bicycle so they can at one time or at some point in their lives join the X-Games from ESPN?

Do you get the picture?

Those especial people who want to take their knowledge to the next level will need to push a little bit harder to succeed.

At this stage, probably not too many people will be able to accomplish their dreams, YES I KNOW, is a little bit sad but that's life.

Joomla my friends will be same, if you want to build regular Joomla websites will be somehow easy, but what about those looking to build Joomla Templates, Dating Websites, Directory Websites, Community Websites, Online Stores, or even a Joomla Extensions.

I mean don't get me wrong because in the Joomla World, you will find lots of trainings from where you can learn.

Believe me anything is possible with Joomla.

But the more you want to do in Joomla the more work you will need to expect.

Anything on life is the same, in any career, in any job, in any knowledge, if you want to keep growing and probably do something a little bit bigger, you should always expect some serious work ahead and that is plain and simple to understand.

Now I am not going to tell you that everyone will like Joomla because it will be a big lie. I personally don't believe that Joomla is better or worst than other CMS platforms like Wordpress or Drupal.

What I believe is on preferences and what people will think is the best for them.

For those especially that think Joomla is hard and think that probably Wordpress or Drupal is easier and better than Joomla, let me tell you something. If you are new to this CMS Systems, of course it will be hard for you besides nobody likes change.

Anything new in life is hard at until some point.

It does not matter if you have a PHD, if you have a Masters Degree, if you think you are the most intelligent human being, or whatever you think you are. If you get introduced to something new, believe me, the learning process will make it hard at the beginning but at the end if you continue the training, the process will become a second nature to your knowledge.

Now YES, some people will grab things more easily than others, but again that's part of the whole learning game process.

I still remember when I was learning Wordpress in November from last year (November 2010). Even that I knew Joomla for years, the initial Wordpress steps were hard for me.

I think Joomla and Wordpress are excellent platforms to build websites and make money online, period.

So if you at some point you start hating Joomla because you think is hard, I think you will need to see the big picture and start thinking that probably the problem is not Joomla but rather yourself.

Yes it is painful sometimes to accept that we are not capable of understanding something, but again Joomla is not for everybody as well as any other Job or Knowledge out there. However if you really apply yourself with Joomla, you will be able to do wonders.

Just Don't Quit.

As a final thought, I will like to say to all people who are taking my training that never give up on this CMS Tool because believe me this can open many doors for you.

Now even that I am teaching you along the way, I want you to keep in mind that I am not the one in here to help you reach the next goal.

All the power to reach anything you want in life is already within you and I truly believe that you can achieve anything you want if you truly wish for it and fight for it.

I think this is a two way road because as well as you can learn with what I share in my trainings, I learn as well from you with your own inputs, comments, and questions.

Again never quit too soon because that next step could be the winner one. I will let you go with this special part from Will Smith's Movie – The Pursuit of Happiness.

But I want to hear from you, do you think Joomla is hard? Or is hard because the user make it hard? What do you think?

Remember If You Want Something? Go and Get It Period.
